For versatile and beginners, the TerrainLinX 'Sewers' and upcoming 'Halls of the Dwarven Kings' sets are your best bet. Investing in a CraftRobo or SillhoueteSD cutter will make the beginner experience even easier as they singificantly reduce the build tiem for compatible sets. DungeonLinX is an great starter set, due to its simplicity. Quick to build, quick to use - but without the immersion that the 3D sets give. I wouldn't recommend 'Chunky Dungeons' for a first set. Yes, they are very versatile, but they takes a lot of building to get a big enough pieces for play. If 'Sewers' or "Halls of the Dwarven Kings' won't suit, then go with Gothic Realms - as its a great dungeoneering set and builds quick. |
