Hi Denny and friends. First of all congratulations cause you really have brought all one step higher with TerrainLinX. I´m enjoying it a lot, thanx. I would like share my experience till now. I´ve learned a lot since i downloaded my firsts sets. My first failures was about the scale when printing... i guess this is a very common fail with beginners, but the most anoying handicap i´ve found is the difficult on find some materials if you live outside the United States, and the correct translation of some of their names and measures. Till recently i´ve made my sets improvising a little bit, with cork and some other things with not bad results at all, but I´ve found lately a web called artsupply.com and get my foam core
but i´ve found 3/16" thick only, have tested and works well, this is really the material of dreams, but i think 1/4" thick will work better so please if you know where can i get it tell me, please. Foam core, glues, cutters... i suggest you consider trade with this too in the future... i would buy tou you and would be easier. Other thing. I´ve found a new hobby on making photos of my sets and miniatures (have no much idea nor time but is funny)... i´ve tried with coloured bulbs taht someone gave me and wooow... the ambient you can create is amazing depending on wich colour you choose. i´ll upload some pics as soon as i can. Other thing. I´m involved now with "Lost Halls"... but i´m thinking on some rounded corridors like shown in Atlantis or swampwood village... i can´t stop thinking how can i get a clean cut with this... i´m thinking on use a poliestirene saw with wire... but i´m not sure how it will work on foam core... what do you think about it?. Finally... i´m thinking on how would be a remake of gothic Realms and some others oldies with TerrainLinX sistem... but don´t know...would be all new or consider old textures?... difficult decission... i love the Great Door on gothic Realms. I leave here the idea. Bye.
