I like Shadowcore. I really do. But I don't have much use for spaceships, what I need are strange alien worlds. And I need them in 15mm. So I have been taking the Shadowcore Prime tiles and converting them to a 15mm landscape, and using the various consoles and other props at their full size as the strange alien growths on the starnge alien world that I am creating. The hallways and walls and such will be used as hills and cliffs. It is still in the developmental stage, but when I have something further along I will post some pictures. I am so excited about this idea that the basic imagery was the basis for a Traveller: Reign of Discordia article I have just finished writing.

Anyways, just thought I would share.

Dammit! I went to print my ground tiles, and after three of them, my printer had started to run out of ink. So buying the new print cartridge is going to delay my Mayhem Junkyard purchase... dammit!

Shadow core doesn't have to be a space ship, I used it to make land based buildings.

Depending on the game you play, could be used in Weird War II or similar settings... if you're a 'Nid fan.... great terrain for that.

All depends on what you are going to be using it for.

I think it would go great with CaveWorks in Grumps Florida Fallout campaign to add some Cthulian stuff too it like the Dunwich building in Fallout 3....

At some stage I want to run an XCOM game, with ShadowCore for the alien ships

...and as I was happily printing out my stuff with my shiny new refilled color cartridge, my black cartridge went dry. Double dammit!

Hmmm... feed the kids or buy a new black cardtridge?

Worms? No, my little girls eat bugs. it all started innocently enough, they moticed a ladybug in the car, I said let's dip it in chocolate and eat it... became a bit of a family joke. Fast forward a few years to the Dr. Zoolittle show at the San Diego Zoo, where kids are dared to eat some prepared, flavored mealworms. my little girls were the first to volunteer. They have been back so many times that this last time the guy gave them their own box of bugs to take home and eat at their leisure. I had to have a talk about NOT discussing this with their classmates, they have a few social issues anyways, I could imagine how the other kids would tease them about this... my youngest probably wouldn't care, but the older one is very sensitive...

Anyways, I got some money via PayPal today and decided to invest in Mayhem Junkyard instead of the ink cartridge, the printer can get reloaded when the tax refund gets here. I won't have time to print and cut until then anyways, but sitting up reformatting tiles can be donw anytime...

That never dawned on me ... but now that you mention it ... wow, I love the ideas and insights you all have.
