Its all your fault Denny.........

You are the cause for my addiction.................

Started off buying a couple of WWG sets a fair while back to see if the stuff was any good for games...........

Then I bought some more sets, then some more...............

Got introduced to Mel Ebbles, then to TOPO............

Now I can't stop..............

It gets worse................

Now I'm building all kinds of papercraft stuff.............

Searching the web for all kinds of free papercraft models...........

Well, here's my revenge, Denny................

My Denny-Doll, currently on display in my office, soon to be on display at the local games shop.............. :o

Image

hahahahahahahahaha

Hope you like it. Currently addicted to these things (freebies), and they have blank templates so you can do your own designs. Will probably need the original designer's permission before using it as a mascot, convention crowd-pleaser etc though.

You can't really see it in the photo, but the Denny-Doll does have the infamous Orange Trousers 8)

I'll wait for the green light before:

a. adding any links for the related website,
b. adding a link to the Denny-doll .png (in case anyone wants a Denny-doll to accompany their WWG builds)
c. possibly designing models for Paul Senior, Aubrey, Matt etc etc etc

Cheers!!

Yay I want one! Looks easy enough, hell, maybe I'll make my own...but I have so much on my plate right now I can no longer see the plate...

Ok...I have to be dressed all in my personal colours of all black, 40% cool grey or bluish-purple, or else steampunk or rivethead gear, oh boy goggles! My hair is back to my natural colour of very dark brown.

Aw heck....just look at my Facebook profile pic, I only shot it a week ago. My avatar here barely resembles me any more...

Something like this is more of a bestowed gift. You can't make your own! And given that Shinobi was just waiting for the blessing of each designer, he probably has some ideas, anyway.

That's awesome! If you get to post the file, there needs to be a thread of the doll in people's builds and/or games. Paul Senior's totally needs to be steampunked.

lol...Needs a big juicy mole on the bottom right corner of its ugly mouth. Then it would look just like me ;)

Oh, can I request big bags under my eyes too?

It would be fun to create a fake WWG office setting to go along with this. If only I had time.

The Mayhem Police set would work for now. The WWG office could be next year's Christmas special?

Wait, that reminds me of the ninja scene from Dorkness Rising.

Great idea. You get a little surprise with each purchase. And, if you build him first, the designer can supervise your more complicated builds.

Here is the template for those interested in having their own Lil Denny!!

Hope I got the trousers the right shade of orange LOL

The design is a modified template by Jason Harlon who designed the BoxPunx range. There are about 300 original designs on his website for all to download for free, build and enjoy, plus he has put up a selection of blank templates so that people can design their own.

I am currently looking into running a Savage Worlds game (using WWG terrain of course) using these little boxes instead of minis......... thinking, thinking......... hmmmmmmm

If these are going to be considered for use with official/promotional WWG stuff, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Jason Harlan and asking permission first. Of course, using them in games and personal pics should be OK.

Here's the website (assuming the green light has been given - not really a WWG competitor  - Mods: if the web address is an issue, please delete)

Enjoy................. and try not to get too addicted!!

Different template this time, 2 pages, and requires a little glue.

Once again the original template is by Jason Harlon.............. sorry Paul, I used the BoxPimp template LOL

Enjoy!!

Okay, so I assembled my test Denny in copy bond paper and it worked out well. Next up is a card version of Denny and Senior. After that...I am SOOO hitting those two blocks of X-Men. WOW! Harlon has some great talent.

Denny, if you are still reading this thread...which I'm sure you are...Harlon has convinced me more than ever to open my wallet to Mayhem. Now I can see both the post-apocolyptic beauty as well as the hero and villain beauty complete with cheap (read FREE) minis to play on it.

My prints will likely be scaled down slightly, though. I'm not sure I like the size and would like to have something a little smaller such that it will be compatible with Mayhem.

Could I make one more suggestion? I think you should give him a special watch with Unger Time on it.
