Trust me, that's the first thing I'll address the second I am able. No one wants to show what the system can do more than me! :)

Err - probably, but why would you want to do that? Clear means that you can see the tiles through them...

Other colors and opacities may be something people ask for in future. If there's a demand there its not out of the question that we might consider it.

Are we still able to pre-order directly from you?

Thank you, Jim

We aren't taking direct preorders at this time. I'm not sure if Wyrd is capable of that on their end either but I'll bring it up the next time we talk.

I would assume that you meant to type PMs, in which case, Denny is a busy guy with an often rather full inbox. As for TerraClips, it is still the first week back from New Year's and the manufacturer is likely to still be getting back into the swing of working. Also, WWG as a number of projects being dealt with right now and therefore, Denny is especially busy. I wouldn't expect bet on a detailed response for a little while longer...at least.

I'm sorry to make my first post a complaint and I understand you're doing what you can in an area that is new to you but I put down a not-insignificant amount of money to preorder of these sets in August. After the delay was announced there was rumblings of an October release so I didn't cancel the preorder, then when that date passed there was the 'hope' that things could get done in time for the holidays. Now that date has passed and I don't see any reason not to cancel my preorder as there's no sign that I'll see them within the next 6 months either...
This isn't (just) moaning, if there's a serious date for availability then I'll leave it but if it's going to be months from now then I'd really like to know so I can get my money back from the store.

For what it's worth hudcrab, I completely understand the frustration.

We were expecting product from the factory between August & October 2010. When we received samples at GenCon this past August, we discovered that the factory hadn't quite delivered on our expectations. This prompted a long winded back-and-forth with the manufacturer to ensure all of our initial requirements were met.

Now that the above process is drawing to a close, we have the assurances we need to confidently endorse the product. More importantly, we know that when people crack open their box of TerraClips at home, they'll be getting the experience and value we originally intended.

Unfortunately I can't give an absolute date for product release due to the complexities of fulfillment. What I can say is that we are very close and I'll be sure to update everyone the minute both WWG & Wyrd have a rock solid date. We appreciate the incredible patience everyone has shown us throughout the process and we are truly excited to reveal TerraClips to the gaming world!

We all greatly appreciate the update, Denny. As much as we want to have the product in hand, I am sure most others will agree that a polished product will be well worth the wait. Polished products are what makes WWG the best choice for carstock terrain...and soon the best option for a premade, physical product.

What worries me most is what all these delays will mean for any future TerraClips sets? As I mainly pre ordered my sets in the hope a lot of other (fantasy) releases would follow.

Given that it apparently can take months just to get your batch produced, I'm afraid the number of future sets will be limited and only available for a very limited time (i.e. one production runs only).

Of course I could be wrong (hope, hope)

TerraClips is a fairly unique product both in terms of market novelty and in terms of how it functions. Getting our manufacturing partner to understand some of the subtleties of the product was a learning experience for all involved. Now that everyone is on the same page, the entire process will be much more efficient.

Long story short, if all goes well, there's potential for us to release additional TerraClips settings on a quarterly basis. Given how the product was received at GenCon and general distributor interest, we have high hopes for the future of the line :)

* Distribution:
The list of current Wyrd distributors can be found here http://wyrd-games.net/buywyrd . Many available distributors have European coverage

* Online Sales: TerraClips will be available for online sale August 5th at Wyrd's webstore: http://wyrd-games.net/shop/ .

Denny, CANADIAN? Where is the Canadian Distribution?

Question TWO.
I spent 5 minutes clicking and I don't see anywhere TerraClips is listed on Wyrd web site? (well I did see a post pone notice about it in august) Lots of weird miniatures and by the looks of it their own game system. But no TC's?

Are they selling it still?
Is it pulled and posted some where in the thirteen pages of text of this thread? Should the front page of this thread be updated?

I am interested. This product looks awesome.
But each time I come back to this thread I get discouraged.
Today I am asking questions.

It should be easier to find out the status of this.
If it is put off then edit the first post to say as much.
I don't mind waiting, but it looked like I could preorder product.
Concerned WWG supporter.

In terms of Canadian distro; is there a distributor Canuck-side that you prefer?

On where things currently stand I'll just repost from a few short posts ago. We haven't done an official statement on things because we've only recently crossed a safe line where we can comment (we being Wyrd & WWG collectively). We'll have a more solid update for you guys VERY soon.

Yeah it is long thread but there is alot of info in it. Of main concern for you is that the product is still coming, but has been delayed do to manufacturing issues.

Personally I don't care who distributes. WWG Canada Would be awesome. I hate having to pay by Check or Credit card (UPS started that craptastic process this year NO cash at the door) at the door for Taxes. I prefer to PAY for it and receive it. Not pay for it, then pay again at the door. I honestly don't care if it is BC or Newfoundland. Just a single purchase and receive delivery.

And I read that post alreayd Denny. I was prepared for a wait. GOod things come to those....... You know what I mean. I trust you so if you say first run was not up to snuff then I will wait.
But I was musing the idea of pre-ordering from wyrd and couldn't find any thing TerraLinks listed anywhere on their site. So I became concerned that this product was GONZO'd from on line purchasing.

Can someone give price points on the different packs? Has that been listed in this thread?
What about pack size? Do you purchase per building or Block?

I will defiantly be purchasing these.
For me, just cause they are so cool looking and look to be superior quality then anything I fudge together. I can see giving these as gifts to get gamers STARTED. OR as a Christmas Gift for a fellow Gamer.

Thanks

Yeah I've had a preorder for three sets of each with my friendly neighborhood gaming store since it was announced (alliance distributors have it in their system so gaming stores can kind of pre-order it).

Just so you know Denny: I'm excited for it and won't remove my pre-orders for anything. That statement isn't a condemnation of previous posters, I just personally really believe in WWG products and to be honest this is what I've wanted all along (great terrain with no effort on my part).
