The 3D rubble tile worked out pretty well:

I blew up a square from the rubble tile (to avoid the concrete bits). Scaled it to fill the width of a sheet of paper. After printing, squished it around a lumpy rock to get some texture, and generally crumpled it. Glued the four corners to a foamcore square, and filled in the middle with bits of old foamcore. Glued the edges down randomly.

Once dry, squished it into shape - it's got a fair bit of give in it, so I can still re-arrange it

Yep, new sculpts but I dunno what you're talking about. Those rebellious insurgents in the woollen caps are in no way, shape or form based on the very similar characters seen in a certain video game franchise I feel like I've spent half my life playing...

Oddly enough, I am working on some Post-Apocalyptic material right now. (Literally, right now... deadlines,deadlines, deadlines....)

The Auld Grump, so if you went to visit Farmer MacGregor's farm, found him and most of his family slaughtered, and his youngest son huddled in a corner of the barn rocking back and forth and muttering about 'the awful things that rabbits do', what would be your reaction?

I just purchased two - one for me, one for a friend who is doing a PA fanzine. (I already purchased a copy of Streets of Legend for him. Anyone who might be suspecting that the PA stuff that I am working on right now might be for the 'zine.... Maayybee. )

Aaannnd this release makes me miss the deadline for the next issue.

Worth it though. Enough here that changing some things to use this set makes sense, anyway. (I had missed the skellie in the burning car.) A bunch of Mantic Ghouls 'n' Zombies are winging their way to me, a bunch of ruined buildings, burning cars, and flaming barrels.... Yes, the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse is upon us.

There's still plenty of room for more Mayhem city stuff in general.

Savage Worlds!

There are a lot of possibilities there - for a skirmish level wargame there is Games Workshop's Necromunda, available as a free download (also works well with Platform Command).

For roleplaying games, I recommend Spycraft 2.0 - an incredibly versatile and robust (almost Rubinesque) system. Not as easy or as simple as Savage Worlds, but I like it much, much better. (I am very much not a rules light person. I want the rules to have love handles. )

True20 Revised is another option, sort of halfway between the two extremes of Savage Worlds and Spycraft. Maybe closer to the rules light end of the spectrum. This would be my choice for a quick to learn system that is versatile enough to handle a multitude of settings. I used it for the summer program with good results.

GURPS - GURPS is very good for a generic system, very versatile. I just wish that I liked it more. Not the rules fault, really, we had some very obnoxious GURPS players that soured the system for a bunch of people. (The kind of folks who would pull a D&D starter box out of a 12 year old's hands in a bookstore and tell him how much better GURPS is - resulting in no game purchase at all. )

Aftermath... when I think about playing in the ruins and devastation of a nuclear war, this is still the system that comes to mind. Lots of ways to die. The PDF is only about eight bucks.

The Morrow Project - another oldie that is still around. And again, lots of ways to die. While the setting is very, very grim the outlook is positive. There are folks working to set the world back in order: The Morrow Project.

Post-Apocalyptic settings include:
Twilight: 2013 - a successor to Twilight: 2000. A trifle more realistic than some settings, and the expansions are dual statted for Spycraft 2.0. I have been holding off on reading much of it - a friend is thinking of running a campaign.

In December, Pathfinder will be seeing a PA release from Adamant - Warlords of the Apocalypse. I will be picking it up, if only to see how the Pathfinder rules are utilized and modified, not to mention, mutated.

Gamma World (you can still find the D20 version by White Wolf around, or you can get the new (yuck!) 4e version). Kind of the granddaddy, the original being kind of silly.

Darwin's World, less cheery than Gamma World, has a lot of support - and is available for Savage World's, True20, and D20 Modern.

I've seen savage world players like that, however it should not sour your view on the game.

GURPS is what I like to call advanced Game Mastering. You get all the rules for almost any situation and for almost any level of complexity (if you really like maths than you can make GURPS pretty complex and realistic) and your players just sit back and enjoy.

I have three campaigns running (although we don't get to play much any more ), two fantasy games and Fallout: London. One of the fantasy games is simple using only the minimum of rules and the second one is complex using almost all of the rules. Fallout waffles between the two.

The only big disadvantage for GURPS is you have to do it your self. They have some campaign worlds, just nothing in the way of adventure modules. That is why I call GURPS advanced game mastering. You have to do all the leg work yourself.

Love the set!!!! Now to find the time to squeeze this build in.
