Post subject:  Help! 1" tile sets?
Is the 1" chunky the only 1" tileset?

I am making dungeons for Descent: Journeys in the Dark - and I love the 1" chunky - but are there any others that would share the 1" measures?

Please excuse me - I am new here - and to making dungeons like this. (Enjoying the hell out of it!) :) Just wanted to find if there were more I could get that would fit in with the game we are playing - and that might fit on the same scale. I know the walls would be different - but being able to phase from one theme into another in the same dungeon could be fun.

I believe that every set has 1" availability (if not, then most). I recommend looking at the TLX (TerrainLinx) products, as they are the sets being currently expanded upon.

I would suggest maybe looking at the various Lost Halls sets, as they make good dungeons and so do the HV: Sewers sets.

Oh! I didn't see that most of the sets come with the 1" or the 1.5" - thanks for pointing that out to me. Will the walls fall under that same sort of setup as the 1" chunky? Being that I am setting up the ProMasterboard (I believe they call it that) that has the velcro in a grid so as to be able to setup the dungeon and there is no risk of it falling apart/being tipped over/etc.

Are all the walls setup to follow that same sort of strict setup?

I hope that question made sense - I just don't want to purchase something by mistake that will not be compatible with what I am looking to use it for.

Chunky Dungeons are different from all of the others. They take a long time to build and a long time to setup compared to some other sets, but they have their own specific look and give a great 3D detail to the table.

The TLX products follow a new format, as can be seen in the video on the product page:

Mini-Chunk is it's own thing, but you can definitely mix and match old sets with new sets (most people do), but the TLX products have the same design scheme and lend themselves to combining sets more than any other combination.

Yeah - that's great - I just finished watching that video as you posted that. :)

I am working on my chunky dungeon - but I might only make one level - have to seriously look at this other version. :)

It looks like it might be easily setup - at least for the floor pieces - to use the velcro board on the bottom of the main pieces - rather than the little pieces that hold the tiles together. Would JUST be for the main floors - as the walls look to be supported by the tabs on the floor tiles.

I'll have to keep looking at it all.

using velcro is tricky. It can hold on so well it rips the tile. What I use to hold things in position on the older sets it that removable poster tack gum. It holds great and is easy to remove and reuse. Plus its really cheap. Velcro can be very expensive.
