Two days from promo pics to release seems record fast, even for Matt. Looks amazing and I can't wait to see it on my table.

Yeah, my work computer died on me and it threw a real monkey wrench in the release schedule. Matt was not at fault at all. He was as prolific and speedy as ever

Yes, any time you mention computer failure brings to mind a set that was lost for MANY a year.... Glad to see that isn't the case any more.

I have heard that this is due to triple redundancy or some such.

Very nice and quick...however how am I supposed to stay focused on my mayhem build now .

Not sure if it's important but after I paid via paypal it bounced me back to wwg but displayed my previous order to download not today's order with Hinterland. No big issue as I just clicked back to orders and then clicked on newest order but it was a little odd.

Gorgeous. The wall of trees is fantastic. Now I just need some weeping angels and I can be happy. And a robo cutter.

Seconded. TLX comes into its own when, like Lego, we can mix and mix the pieces we've got to create the scenes we want.

Nice. Very nice. The original Hinterland was excellent, updating it to TLX format just makes it more useful. It occurs to me that some of the Thoumonts building textures would be suitable for a small rural village.

So do the rocks and trees attach at all or are they free standing like the original set?

All hail the robo-cut trees. My arthritis thanks you. It took me about 10 minutes to print, cut, and assemble one of the simple deciduous trees. The foamcore bases are a nice touch.

It doesn't look like the boulders and stuff have anchor points.

The tree walls do but not the free standing trees, no. However the undersides of the boulders are now open volumes so they will easily cover up any unused anchors and make them less obtrusive.

I'm imagining this combined with Thoumont's for that creepy old abandoned house surrounded by werewolves type setting.

Hmmm...I'm thinking forest outside of the city for an ATZ game...or mixed in with city and destroyed for a different ATZ game. Very nice. Excellent work as always from Matt.

Perhaps the transition tiles can be the TLX freebie promos? That way WWG noobs can see multiple terrain examples on one tile and those of us that have made purchases can integrate them easily?

If not, I would pay for a "transition pack" which contains all transitions and, if possible, is updated (like the planner) when new sets come out.

I really can not say enough good things about this release. My first thought was why in the world would I use paper trees when the model railroad ones are not expensive and look much better. I bought the set for some other things. We thought we would make some smaller trees for practice and now I am gathering up my railroad trees and making paper replacements. The trees look great and while they are not as "realistic" looking they have an incredible stylised art look that I think fits in even better with fantasy gaming. The tree wall is sheer genius. In a short time you can build a forest looking structure and it folds flat!!!!!!
I am impressed beyond words.

Well, while I prefer the railroad trees, it is a whole lot easier to balance figures on the World Works ones. I tend to swap the plastic ones when folks start climbing the trees. They definitely have a place on my tables - especially in Mordheim/Empire in Flames, where having archers at height is a major advantage on the battlefield.

The Auld Grump, sad, waiting for ink to dry, and all I can think of is how my bed is calling to me....
