Heh, pretty sure that those aren't teasers - that is a retrospective. :) (The date of 2005 on one of those pictures kind of gives it away, though I do see Deadfall mentioned....) Missing Persons gets a mention, and remains my favorite of the WWG adventures.

Yep, those looks like some old stuff there...

DungeonWorks, Arcretia... Yep some names I haven't heard in quite some time. :(

My comment was more directed at Deadfall and the new site design.

I'm not quite sure what this thread is yet but it will be sort of a central update thread for the new website and upcoming announcements.

Ooh... White Wolf partnership? (bottom left corner). and if that is the new website, it looks good :D

Actually that background image is an amalgam of a number of our old websites (Grump was right there). Just a small retrospective with a little tease on the right showing bits of the upcoming site :)

I was going to suggest that this thread was about the new website - and then Denny goes and says this

Still, the prospect of the new website and 'upcoming announcements' beats being proven right any day 8)

Someone should do a montage video of the progression of the sets.

That's when you need to put yourself to the test,

Show a lot of things happing at once,
Remind everyone of what's going on (what's going on?)
And with every shot you show a little improvement
To show it all would take to long
That's called a montage (montage)
Oh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to go from just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Even Rocky had a montage (montage)

For once I'd like to actually see something actually released rather then more teasers....I've moved away from WWG products because I get tired of waiting. I'd start buying again if focus was made on fewer products at once. I say something because I suspect many feel the same way.

This I don't see. I mean I would love to see a million new releases too, but that isn't realistic. The model is not much different than it has been for a long time. Also, this past year has seen quite a few releases. I believe that it was the most productive year to date, actually (in terms of number of sets released [16 in 2010, 14 in 2007 and 13 in 2008 if my quick count serves me right]).

As to the number of projects being worked on, each designer is doing their own thing and nothing more. I don't see the issue.

As a side note, Hinterlands Cliffs *JUST* released, Forests wasn't long ago, neither was Gardens and it seems as if Titan 2 is getting rather close based on it's thread. I think we as fans have started to become spoiled with a great release schedule for these amazing products.

I'm with Talae here, Lakoda. WWG has released a lot of stuff in the past year. While most of it is not stuff that I can use (I'm waiting for Verus fleet & the new kitbash page), I applaud their release schedule.

I'm sorry that you feel that way Lakoda. That's the double-edged sword with showing early previews/teasers. They are the single most important tool for us to both promote the products in development and to keep you guys in the loop. They allow us to share the work we are doing before it is ready for prime-time. That might feel contrived but I assure you, its not. Previews are a vital tool for us.

As Talae mentioned, the number of releases has increased exponentially each year, with 2010 being our most prolific year to date (And 2011 promises to exceed that). We're all working very hard behind the scenes to increase our output while maintaining the quality level people expect from WWG. We genuinely pride ourselves on offering our customers something truly special, something worth their time and hard earned dollars.

Anyway, stick around if you can. 2011 really is going to knock some socks off :)

In my opinion, WWG releases so much stuff that it's hard to keep up with it all :P The WWG crew is doing a great job, and, IMO, there is no reason to criticize them :)

I'd like to say "slow down, give me a chance to build some of this!" but I'd rather keep with the new and shiny!

Sometimes things take a while to get from preview to completed. That's fine. The fact is you're among the best at keeping people in the loop about where a product is. This looks like it's only going to get better with the new website.

My one problem is the TLX designer and the fact that it's not up-to-date with the somewhat hectic release of TLX stuff over the past couple of months. Oh, and I'd like some single-height tree walls as well as the double-height ones in Forests, but that's a topic for a different thread.

May 2011 be your most productive year yet! I've enjoyed everything you've released in 2010 and I doubt this year will be any different. Long live WWG!

For some reason I have no opinion at all about this ... well, just one. The opening graphic for this thread makes a very nice cover label for my WWG set backup disks.

yeah i completely agree with Talae here. also, like ive said in other posts, WWG is like Blizzard in that you may wait a while but when the product does come out it never disappoints. if they just spit out stuff left and right while lowering the quality, i'm not sure i would stick around. and if they did maybe double their staff and then double the amount of content released...im afraid some of the awesome work would get lost in the fray.

16 new products in 2010 is more than 1 new thing every month. if you are honestly buying everything AND completing the entire build in 2 weeks or something then you are a better man than i. my exacto knife blades just shuddered at the thought by the way.

Maybe 2011 will bring in some more designers (or other staff). WWG did put out the word that they are hiring.

Hopefully we'll see some more staff dedicated to Wormhole. I really want to like it, but the support isn't there yet :(
