Older Hastarti Class Frigates are often turned into the Cargo Variant for use in logistics. Due to increasing pirate raids they are usually lightly armed.

This free preview of the upcomming Verus race and fleet for the Wormhole game system features the Hastati Class Cargo Frigate, a (generally) noncombatant vessel of the Verus fleet. Inferior in combat to the more battle-ready Missile and Plasma Frigates, the Cargo Frigate still has some combat capability to it, and can fill a number of logistical (or scenrio-specific) roles.

Included in this package is the data card, build instructions, and both the simple (quick build) and advanced (more detailed) versions of the Verus Cargo Frigate, in Republic, Nomad, and Pirate sub-race variations.

Full GSD cutfile support is provided, for those of you who have a paper cutter.

We sincerely hope you enjoy this first glance at the Verus fleet, and are looking forward to the full race release due out later this year.

Is it just me or do the pictures not load in Chrome?

I finally had the chance to extract this and take a look at it. It's beautiful, much better work than our beta-test materials. And looking through the instructions, you can get some nice teasers about the rest of the Verus fleet, some of thoe ships are BIG...

Works for me in chrome.

It was a formatting issue on our end. We forgot to comment out the thumbs, since there aren't any for this freebie.

Not yet. Maybe by next weekend, I am working on a big painting commission right now.

I have a couple built up, but have not had a chance to set them up for pictures yet. (busy building other stuff ) They look really good when put together

Got to say I like the full 3d versions a lot will likely get the full when it comes out... and GSD lovely lovely

Some parts you need to take your time with...a bit fiddly..but I do like the results

I finished my first build of this model tonite; I will try to get some pics up tomorrow. I did the "simple" build with some slight modification, I can't seem to leave anything as it is these days...

I lied, I managed to get the picture tonight. Of the several I took, this is the only one that turned out well:



You can see that i added a little foldover to the cargo containers to raise them above the rest of the hull just a little. I think the offset makes it look a lot nicer
