Hello All... I decided to treat myself over the holiday season and I picked up:

CWU
Siege Works
Village Works
Gothic Dungeon

Sea Madien
Skull Cove

I am a Miniature Gamer for the most part - My 3 favorite systems being Warmachine, Chronopia and Warzone.

One of the reasons I decided to go with Cardstock buildings / sets is our gaming group in Edmonton Alberta is fairly large with a core group of 14 players. And since I am the offical terrain guy, it was getting a bit much coming up with new terrain ideas, and producing enough quanity to fill our game nights. Sure Resin Buildings and Terrain is all very nice - but can get pretty pricey as well. World Works products are amazing with the textures (they don't look like the Cardstock Terrain of old) and I can make multiples of what I need to fill our gaming tables.

I know that Miniature Gamers tend to be pretty snobby about Cardstock Terrain - but I have seen some pretty lame attempts at scratch buildings and some really bad painted resin stuff in my time gaming, that the stuff World Works is creating is and should be a GOD SEND to many Miniature Gaming Groups.

Now my biggest problem is deciding which set to tackle first... I was planning on doing a Chronopia Seige Game (which was the reason I checked out WW in the first place - I remembered seeing a WW Ad on The Miniatures Page) and the CWU set really has my creative juices flowing.

On a side note - I picked up the Sea Madien and Skull Cove on kind of a Lark - but I was wondering if Savage Worlds works as a Miniature Gaming System. I have looked at it a few times but I haven't been sure... Can it handle multiple Units of 10+ models easily without getting bogged down in paperwork recording Wounds etc for each model.

You have made the best choice a gamer (or anyone for that matter) could make. I would start with CWU with some VW thrown in to fill the walls. Do some Siege equip. as well.

Move onto Gothic for the interior battles. Also items from Skull Cove to "litter" the board with interest in your castle/fort/bloodbath.

The next thing you should check out is ink refill kits and bulk cardstock, go to an office supplier but try to go to the small companies because you can get better price when buying in bulk (trust me you will be buying in bulk... and a bigger house to store it all in).

Denny and Crowd are like long lost family (I hope I didn't get the hair genes!! ) and they will help you with what ever they can to make your builds better. The support from the surrounding forum is outstanding and again has a kinship to it. (Must be the cut, score, fold and paste family)

Welcome to the fold, and to a new and very fun (and addictive) hobby. Heh, its easy to go crazy with Denny's stuff. I've gone crazy printing it - I have hundreds of pages of printed material I have yet to cut and assemble - luckily I get a lot of it printed for free.

I've gotten to the point where I realize that half my models may never get used in a game. My father suggested I get a glass or plastic case (for dust shield purposes), and just put together a monthly diarama in it with whatever terrain I've done lately - and it actually sounds like a good idea at this point! I've got a CWU build I'm dying to put together again (and I'll post pics when I do) - CWU is unreal up close and personal, especially with double-high walls.
