When I first saw ths i was kind of EH, it is very GW, but the more pictures have come out, and the more description I hear, I am getting into it. Maybe I build my Mayhem wrong. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c5/Gh ... G_1309.jpg but mine fold flat, and I really liked that idea just wsan't thrilled about the looka s it ddin't fit all of my needs. I know after the above game I was really wanting a "future" version of the flats as it required a LOT of work trying to make A city out of completly Titan and the TLX mayhem, why i grabbed the the Bits o Mayhem flats they were needed to drop a few builds quickly on the table.... this would work quit well for Nar Shaddaa so I am liking, it though won't work too well for my other want for a city... Courscant sections of the city it may work for or maybe not as well. A llittle too dark and gothic for the upper shinny levels of that city but lower older levels could work quit nicely for. All and All i like the idea of the this new line! This is very interesting, and I consider myself well and truly 'teased' by this thread 
It looks superb in its own right, but also looks as if it would be right at home in 40k or Malifaux. I am not sure how practical a 16 storey tower is, but I want to build one. And then put minis on it and take photos

16 stories is surprisingly functional 
Yeah, making it structurally supportive while being flat-fold was the real trick. That and ensuring that you can still create a static box build that doesn't fold flat for those who prefer that method. And adding in little bits of modularity was important too, while at the same time keeping things really simple. I'm still working on instructions at the moment so you'll have to be a bit patient with me. I also have a few more promos to work through to show various features. Getting closer though

I'll be looking forward to more promo pics.  Hopefully they won't be at an angle ... I'm still getting use to my new trifocal glasses ... easier to look at pics straight.
I don't envy you having to write instructions. Thinking of that, I need to get a small laptop so I don't have to go back and forth to the computer station and the modeling table to read the instructions while building things. It takes too much ink to print the instructions out. Sorry got a bit off track. |
