First off - This is not a suggestions thread. No, this thread serves one purpose only - To keep me from chewing off my fingertips waiting for official word on Himmelveil! That said... Sooner or later Himmelveil will acquire a cemetary, complete with tombs, vaults, and a caretaker's cottage. Eventually it will be revealed that Himmelveil is a thriving seaport, requiring docks, jetties, warehouses, and a lighthouse. There is at least one haunted house in Himmelveil, a place where no one dares tread. There is a Wizard's Row, where the magicians ply their trade and sell their wares. The City Gates of Himmelveil are truly impressive, invading armies come from leagues around just to look at their height and breadth! That there is a good possibility of a Cathedral has already been mentioned in passing by Denny. What other ideas are floating around out there regarding Himmelveil and its streets? No city is complee without it's "bad" side of town. Rows of crumbling houses, narrow alleys, and the corner pub. There also needs to be Guild houses and Manor houses for the rich folk. A variety of pubs, merchants, churches, and guard houses will be required. No city worth it's salt will have just one standard design. We will also need a Main street, and Bazaar area for traders. Oooooh I could go on for hours... And might being as I'm home sick.... |

I'm hoping for the docks, taverns and pubs, warehouses (must have big warehouses!), open square market and other trappings. Plus, the city would have an impressive bell, a gallows or two (there be hangings), the town jail (gotta keep 'em somewhere before you hang 'em), of course the courthouse... And if we're lucky, there might be the industrial section (steampunk or not), that contains a foundry, tannery, smithies, and all the other nasty, dirty, grimy buildings of industry. |

oooooh forgot about industrial buildings.... I would love to see a Lankhmar-style "street of the gods" devoted to various temples. I agree, Robby, a jail is a must as well! |

This is where you can find pictures of WotC models, but the links to download have been disabled. I have built a couple. Not bad, but the tower is unstabe and overall, you will realize how professional WWG product is compared to WotC. I am not ragging on WotC. The concept is sound. The designs are fine. But WWG has better textures, great design concepts, and the overall models are more stable. Edited by Moderator: Links to free, competing model downloads are disallowed. I encourage you to build one tower and you will realize how much better WWG products are. WotC were orignally designed to be free giveaways. Nothing wrong with that. They did a decent job. But Denny really puts his full heart and soul in his products. |
