The Haunting (1963) is indeed one of the best. I still get chills when I watch it. The only special effect was when that door was moving in and out. Proves that all of this CGI stuff is not needed. I was thinking about the Shelendak Grounds set. It could use a nice Victorian style hedge maze. Perhaps some appropriate textures on some wall type pieces or adapt something from another set to get the walls of the maze. A re-reading of The Amber Chronicles a few years back reminded me that The Pattern sort of resembles a Cretan Labyrinth in its physical layout. One of those, with either squared corners or rounded, layed out on the grounds of Shelendak would look good. |

These two releases were/are a pet project from Bob Cooper. Just as he did with his awesome Lair of the Dragon God conversion, his hopes here were to convert the original Shellendrak release to the TLX standard. After the first successful conversion release of Shellendrak West Wing, he finished much of East Wing but was overwhelmed with work via his full-time job. I removed these two entries (Shellendrak East & Shellendrak Grounds) from the "In the Works" meter because I have no assurances that Bob will finish them any time soon (though I know he wants to). Everyone else is up to their elbows in other projects, so these two releases remain in a kind of purgatory. The one thing we aren't doing in 2012 is leading people on and getting hopes high on projects that are lacking support. The projects that you see on the "In the Works" meter now are certainties because they are being handled by staff contributors that have time to complete them in full. That doesn't mean there aren't a lot of other projects on the radar, we just aren't showing the less certain ones until they cross a set level of completion. |

I'd definitely like to see these. I'll buy as many of your other sets as I can so you can give Bob more money. (all of your current projects are great too though) |
