It depends on what you are going to use it for. Chunky takes up a lot of tabletop real estate, so it could get cumbersome for certain rpg sessions. I would recommend Gothic Realms for something like that, although the aestethic is darker than Chunky.
As far as a Masterboard, you can use the technique with every set but the walls would be free standing. I velcroed all my pieces for my Masterboard and I'm very happy with the result.
Caveworks is a nice buy if you need...caves.
With GR and Caveworks you can probably tackle any dungeon layout.
