I had about 6 hours notice that our DM cancelled on us and I had to put a one-shot adventure together. So I figured some spiders in the woods followed by some goblins... but the spiders needed some webs to hide in, so I downloaded some clipart to make them from. Big webs for big spiders...

Hinterlands is one useful set, I'll tell ya.

Have you tried to print the spider webs on transparencies?

Anyways, the game went excellent Wednesday night. I only had three players, so we had a little more room for in-depth roleplaying and evocative description. The guys in particular enjoyed each fey goblin's death, whether they were exploding into a shower of pixie dust or transforming into a swarm of moths. One of my players turned to be arachnophobic and he had some problems when I put the spiders down. This was probably one of the most fun adventures I've run yet!

The trick with transparencies seems to be getting the right sort of transparency for your printer. Once you've done that it's just a case of print and use.

BTW, I used laser transparencies for Cathedrae Noctis windows with spectacular results.
