Been a while since I purchased the mars station set and finally I've got some pics to show.
I'll post the link to the thread on another board since some of the models are not WWG stuff, hope it's ok!

any ideas on how to strengthen the sides of the canyon? I was thinking of using simple foamcore leftovers...

Building thigs: here in Italy I couldn't find all of the wonderfull brands of glues everybody here talks about, or I could but the shipping costs were meh. In the end I'm using superglue...yeah, expensive...but give a nice strudiness to the model that I've never seen with any other glue. And after some time you actually learn how not to use too much (=how to spend not so much on glue)
Foamcore...nobedy ever saw the black variant it seems, but the white one with superglue works fine anyway.
Still thinking on how to build the playing surface, probably going to use insulation stuff, will see.

Comments&criticism more than welcome, it's my first paper model ever more or less so I do need help!

Wow, the lab in the cliffs is awesome. You just added one more project to my mile long list of things to build

Are you going to make the board using the Mars landscape tiles? I just remade my mine using 2x2 foamcore and putting a Paperlinx in each corner to hold it together.

That's super creative Inferno and an excellent first bash at cardstock modeling! We really appreciate you stopping by to share with us.

As far as strengthening walls go; the easiest method would be to fabricate some internal wall supports using foamcore. Many have gone that route in the past but its only really necessary if the terrain is to see heavy usage (like in a LGS environment). If this is only seeing a handful of games, there's really no need to further strengthen things (cardstock is much tougher than people give it credit for).

I say, play on this as-is and get onto the next project

in no particular order:
base...dunno, maybe going for some insulation foam, but I still have to make up my mind...the tile suggestion is a good one though...I'll certainly keep that in mind!

the big antennae is from tearsliver on deviantart...a very nice kit!

I guess I'll strengthen the sides of the lab-in-canyon just in case. I don't know yet how much use it'll see -I hope a fair bit of use actually- but...

I was working on the big buiding, doing loads of railing and adding general props when I realized the the awnings actually hinder gaming...kind of complicated to put minies under them...so I'll just add a few here and there.

Wow. Just wow. You have done the unbelievable with this set. Mars Station is still my go-to set for just about everything, and you have taken it to the next level!

hi there! I did much work on this build. Check the thread for more details.
I strengthened various walls and made the canyons a bit more interesting and interactive, finished the big buiding and finished a chemical storsage area full of iol drums as well as an ex-building reused as some kind of storage area too.
I just need to find/build a decent base for it, maybe just some cloth/other stuff but I'll sort it out eventually. At the moment it's finished, save for a couple of vehicles.
