OK, my older daughter saw my buddy and I playing HeroClix one day, and wanted to play. So I showed her my collection of stuff, and she wanted to do an all-girl team, including Wasp and Marrina. She had lots of questions about Marrina such as "Why is she green?" and "Why is there a picture of a dolphin on her base?" So I explained to her about how water worked in the game, and she wanted to play on a board featuring the beach. So I set out to build a beach board. Not only did I need to resize my beach tiles, but I also had to add the grids over the top, and then create some transition tiles from the beach to the grass, and create some inlets to have the water extend more onto the board. Then i thought that some more beach-esque buildings were in order, so the beach house from Dragonball Z, a mobile home, and a gift shop were in order (Shell City is the gift shop from the Spongebob movie for those of you who have managed to avoid it.) Finally I used some marshy ground as moveable hindering terrain.

That's a cool little build. I like the combination of pieces from different sets too.

I like it. It reminds me of that rural mayhem build. Its always cool when someone does a different setting. You did a great job with the sand and water. And the boat lanches are a great way to pull the water further into the board. I really like the mobile home as well.

i've never played hero clix, is that the game where the figures can throw different size props?

If so perhaps you could add things like picnic tables, surf boards, and big umbrellas. Although I don't know if any thing like that is availible for mayhem.

The beachfront mobile home is very 'lethal weapon'. Just need to shoot it up with a helicopter gunship.
