I was slightly luckier then Snizitch though, I got 5 pics up before I exceeded my limit.

Is it possible to post comments on the pictures?

At the top of the page the gallery search has a last comment option, but I cannot figure out how to leave any on the pics.

Great to have this back and a real pity that so many images were lost. But I am sure new and gorgeous creations will appear a plenty

Comments have been disabled along with a few other functions in the gallery due to the related hacks which destroyed the old one. To me, the gallery is really just a storage area which users can use to link to and display their images here in the forum for comment.

So if you see a pic you really want to comment on, please feel free to start up a thread here and post a link to the pic or show the pic in the thread.

Yup thats how Dungeon Crawlers got hacked as well. We used the same gallery as your using now. They got in through the gallery and not content with destroying that used the gallery to get in to the rest of the site. We still have not been able to get the forums or the download section properly running.

I understand, better to take precautions than to lose more pics.

Speaking of which, I saved some of the pics people had posted in the old gallery. I'm wondering if there is way to include them in the new gallery? Unfortunately I don't know whos pics most of them are.

Hmmm...You could post them up under your gallery but then mirror that on the forum here asking for folks to claim their pics? Just a thought. Would be nice though to get some older pics back up.

I like the idea of making a "archive" user account. Can I make 2 accounts from the same IP address?

It most likely works off of your email address, not IP... if you have a second email account use that.

I've created a new user account in the WWG gallery called "WWG Archive". Into the account I'm uploading photos from the old gallery that I have saved on my pc.

However I don't know whos photos these are. So please claim any that belong to you.

If anyone else has old gallery pics I can upload them into the archive account.

As was evidenced by the upadte of the Old Barloz thread i found most of my old builds, and i am even working on some new ones, i'll post them up as soon as this becomes a permanate addy (ie not a place holder) so i don't have to go through for the 4th time and change all the links....

You won't have to reupload when we shift the location of the gallery. It will be a straight port to the new address.
