Recently, I started running EN World's War of the Burning Sky campaign. Our first session was Sunday, and in it the players were attacked while at an inn meeting with a member of the local resistance.

The background models come from Dave's Games; none of them can be opened up, as they're just for window dressing.

The real fun came from my Thoumonts build. The entire inn, two stories and the roof, were created for the combat (even though they only ended up using the ground floor).

For those familiar with the War of the Burning Sky campaign, next week is the Depository encounter. I'll be excited to post pictures, as that build came out amazing looking!

What I wouldn't give to sit at your table for a night. You seem to up your game every year.

While the PC's were inside the inn, an army invaded using dragons to weaken the city's defenses.

I'm especially proud of this build, as it features many small kitbashes of my own creation. Be sure to read through the picture descriptions for details, but in a nutshell:

• Double-high corner and center posts.
• Double-high stained glass window wall.
• Pillar end caps.
• New look for an Atlantis statue.

Session three is in two weeks, so I won't have anything to post next Sunday.

That camera is kick ass. I can't wait to update that bit of hardware.

It is! There are several kitbashes in this build. This picture explains a few of my mods. The description is right below the image.

I love the quality of the photos. Sadly your camera is so far beyond my price range its laughable. I'm hoping limiting my search to ones to be used only with my photo booth will eventually turn up something good.

Are you planning on trying to continue on in the series? If so I really look forward to your take on the encounters in the second adventure.

Yeah, that was the Depository. In the adventure, it's four stories tall, octagonal, and kind of boring. Thanks to the Lost Halls sets, I was able to spruce it up!



I've only read through the first adventure, so I don't what what's in store... Spoilers?

I typically build models for every combat encounter for a campaign, so whatever's coming up in the future, I expect to build it!

Shouldn't be too much of a spoiler...

A living Forest Fire, with most encounters actually taking place IN the fire.

That particular setting does get a bit old after a while, but it will be very fun to see it actually hit the table.

Oh, RIGHT! Actually, I have looked into that adventure. For some reason, I thought you meant the third, where they arrive at the Lyceum.

For the fire forest, I'm going to kitbash Hinterland Forests. I've already got some fire tree prototypes...

Apologies in advance to the die hard WorldWorks fans -- very little of yesterday's session came from any sets you can buy here. For the most part, the combat encounter was comprised of Dave's Games' various ruined buildings.

Nevertheless, the dragon from Lair of the Dragon God made his debut, as well as the various fire and explosion markers from Battle Packs: Battle Basics.

Readers of EN World's War of the Burning Sky will recognize this encounter as Scene 3: Fallen Devil.

Session 3 contained no kitbashes -- unlike our next session, which includes double high Thoumonts TerrainlinX walls and posts!

It looks great! I admire the Thoumont's stuff most due to that being what I am working on myself. Can't wait to get it done and post it.

I got the ruins bundle myself during the sale, got a bunch of walls done already for our Kingmaker game!

Your build of that Dwarven Hall is superb! In fact, it convinced me to buy the three packs. One thing I can't find however: in the middle of the upper floor, there's 2 walls with what seems like stained glass? Where did you get these?
