Hi all. This is everything I've built so far for Mars Station. My Sci-Fi complex builder system is currently on hold due to a problem resolving how to handle doors, but that's a problem for another thread.

So, faced with problems, I realised my Star Wars rebels are going to need a new home once Echo Base is destroyed. So, I got back to my MS project.



All three buildings together. The one with the flat roof and air con box on top was the first I built, just after the set came out. The sloping roof was the second, and the largest hasd been put together over the last few days.

The small building


This is the smallest of the group and probably my least favourite... I thionk it's the roof that puts me off. Still, it can serve as a small guard hut or pilots ready room as the situation dictates.


The medium building
See the earlier thread for images. This one is either going to be a barrack room or a c-in-c post, though I may build that as a dedicated building over two floors.

The large building

With radar dish from FL, serving as a satellite TV dish. This is a small bar/mess building. There is a yard at the back that will have a gate for the crawler to enter through and allow for the placement of all sorts of scatter props.


View of the rear showing the fence. I have since added a kitbashed 7-inch strip of fence to the back, and am in the process of crafting the gate. Pics by wednesday (probably)


top-down view of the interior, showing the fixed bar and auto-galley unit (from FL). I have left space to add stairs in case I decide to add an upper level. I'm also going to add a large holo-screen (kitbashed from the 3-in portals from FL-R) so it can keep up the charade of a normal miner's bar when the Imperial inspectors come around.


The toilet. One only, from Ebbles' Ambient Elements. Still need to add the sink.


Comments/thoughts now I've built more:
The set is quite easy to build. The interior walls are really easy to use (I was a little daunted at first) and the doors are great. I just wish there was a little more variety in the walls available, like one with a larger window next to the door. Oh well, now I seem to be getting the hang of PS I guess I should stop whinging.
Now the main buildings are done I can think about other pros - the tanks, storage boxes and more barriers are all on the shortlist to be built.

p.s. I will be pimping this set over at Mongoose again once I've got the ground tiles done - end of the week hopefully!

p.p.s. Sorry about the blurriness of some of the pics - my shaky hands plus the settings on digicam re-setting to factory defaults when the batteries ran out. I'll take some better shots when the set-up is complete.

Very nice. I like the fact that you are making up the interiors.

I was doing a whole 2x6 tile board till my yougest decided it would go better with milk.

I know that building it on individual tiles makes it more modular, but in my experience the tiles move too much. How do you plan on having the tiles not move when playing on them?
