Finally posted the pictures of my secret project. There are two that are the same, didn't realize I had duped one of them until after I had uploaded it. But you can see what I've done.

Basically, the periscope has 2 mirrors in it, one at a roughly 45 degree angle and the other at a 90 degree angle further up. The makes it so that you can look down through the top opening from a standing possition and view the table from the same angle a mini would have.

I'm not completely satisfied with the way it turned out as I didn't use the sized mirrors that the plans original asked for, so I had to change the dimensions a little. I figured I was making a prototype anyway, so it's ok as I'll play around toward making another.

That is just wicked cool, I just use my digital camera to get a mini's eye view, but that gives me an idea for a smaller periscope for line of sight rules, hmm. Ack, no more new idea's till I finish my other projects !

I saw that link for the instructions before on some Wargame sight. That looks like a fun project. I think it would be interesting to make a "narrower" version so it would fit into tight areas.

Yes I used the Siege Tower, or at least the outside parts of it. I increased the size to about 175% larger than normal though as regular size wasn't big enough to cover without multiple pieces.
