Who says ruins can't be done with cardstock, I think says it all . That is an awesome recreation of the LotR Weathertop fight Raminad. Hehe, sorry if I'm jumping the gun, but trust me, people want to see this .

Just uploaded some photos of the Moria lay out I built back in '04. Not nearly as involved as Weathertop but much larger, being made mostly of 10" square sections that can be moved about as needed. Used Dungeon Works for this. Cheated here and used wedding cake columns. Used painted cork for the rubble. Were I to do it over I would use bits of cut up wall as in Weathertop though. Looks better and easier to move figures over and around.

The only close to inolved bit was Balin's Tomb. Built this after obsessively watching that sequence int the film to try and get all the details right.

Fun to play on if a bit cramped.

Have made a few oteher bits and pieces as needed but those are for th emost part just built as presented in whichever set.

The Moria pics are really inspiring...simple yet thought out. I like the columns too (how much did they cost?). Also, the models seem crisply painted, which adds to the beautiful textures in the terrain. You have any ambitions for future builds? If so, keep us all here up to date (especially fellow LOTR players out there).

Looking forward to seeing other builds. The round base that you used is one of the ideas I was looking into for building a tower. Combining that and the tower walls from CWU.
