I've been wanting to add windows to my original Dice Tower design and when I saw the new model, the Watch Tower, I thought this would be perfect.

So I bashed the Watch Tower around a bunch and came up with Dice Tower Ultimate. I cut the top off of the peaked roof so the dice have somewhere to go in. I added Windows all around the tower and finally I added a big gateway for the dice to come out.

Not as happy with the windows as I had hoped. You can't really see the dice falling through the tower mainly because the little guys in the tower won't keep the lights on. Probably because I keep on dropping dice through their tower!

Very sweet. This is one of the first dice towers I've seen that I've really liked. That extra work in the transparencies goes a looong way to improving the look!

Any progress on posting the plans for this? I would love to have a dice tower made from the Watch Tower set.

A dice tower is used to achieve a random roll with dice without concern of the roller 'fixing' the roll. Generally it is a tower-like structure with three alternating slanted floors inside to have the die hit several surfaces and get a good roll.

Personally, I love using a dice tower, but not because I don't trust my opponent, but because it keeps the dice contained in a small area, preventing them (hopefully) from trashing terrain, knocking over minis, or falling on the floor.

I bought the dice tower because my son thinks dice are comets around a table! I think we spend more time picking dice off the floor and re-rolling then playing

The tower is a nice idea also.

While this doesn't really have anything to do with the dice tower, I recently was at a convention where I used a model I'm bashing from the Watch Tower. Soon as I get it finished, hopefully in a couple of weeks, I'll post pictures of it.

I'll also try and remember to post pictures of my dice tower which I bashed by from the Castle Works Classic model set.

Great dice tower, Morval. I could really use that ... time to buy the Watch Tower and put one together. BTW, I liked the windows too!

Well I finally finished my dicetower.


My dicetower is an excellent example of "well it seemed like a good idea at the time". For some reason I decided to make my dicetower convertable. So rather then a fixed dicetower interior, I made a series of inserts that sit atop each floor. They all can be removed so that the tower can be used as the normal watchtower. The only change is the roof and the enlarged base door.

I'm thinking that I'm going to do a 2nd dicetower. This time I'm using CWC tower without interior skins.



While working on the tower I happened to assembly some pieces without the crenelation level. I rather like the appearence. Its got a good unfortafied medieval look.

Cool! So the dice roll out the front door?

I've already got the dice tower and will definitely have to give one of these a go.
