Hi all,

I've just completed my first WWG model (though not my first paper model), the Himmelveil Harbourmaster building -->

I enjoyed making it and it's certainly a lovely model to look at; great design and textures. I built it using 260gsm photo paper. I've made paper models with photo paper before but never of that weight, it gives the model a nice finish but it's a bit too expensive to use all the time.

Next up (after I've made next year's greeting cards for January through March) is Shellendrak Manor. It was going to be Steampunk Shellendrak but then I read the comments elsewhere about the Purple Tentacle and this happened -->

I've got the mad scientist's lab planned out and I'm thinking about adding a dungeon-esque basement too. Funny how these plan-it-yourself models start out being "a really, really simple design...honestly" then suddenly get more complicated

Welcome to the boards Mandy, I have to say that Purple Tentacle is great!

As for builds getting more complex, I find that happens to me all the time. I start out thinking I want this nice simple layout, and next thing I know my plan is too big to fit on my craft table....

1st off Welcome to the boards! You'll find some great people here.

2ndly that is a very nice looking build of the Harbourmaster Building. Reminds me that I need to build that great looking set by Paul.
