This was for an encounter in Keep on the Shadowfell; I ran my 2nd 4th edition game today. I think everything here is from the Hinterlands.

Looks like you reduced the size on tree wall.

Where did you get the magic circle on the ground tile?

Did you alter the tree color on tree arch?

I *think* the magic circle came from another set. Either that, or it's from a symbol font I had. The battlemat was printed as a pair of 13"x19" pages that I assembled in Photoshop.

Yes, the tree arch was altered. I won't print anything the same color twice as far as terrain goes, even if I just tweak the hue or saturation a little bit.

I can't remember why I made the smaller tree wall -- I think I had a space that I needed to fill for a board I used last session.

Very nice. This is the area just before the Kobold lair, isn't it? I like the way it came out. I also like the hill. I haven't made anything with Hinterlands but a masterboard, yet. Did you make the hill with any kind of internal supports to strengthen it? Or is strong enough without them?

I put the supports in, but I think it would be fine without them.

They are a pain in the @#$ to do, I'm glad I don't ever have to make any more of them.

Found the symbol, it's from the pentagram tileset in Hellworks.

It's cool to see more pictures of this set. I have been looking all over for cliffs especially, and can't seem to find very many. It also made me realize that I haven't printed any hills yet...I guess I should try them out.

The grass on the cliffs seem brighter than the grass on the ground. Was that intentional?

Anyone have suggestions on the construction process? The cliff I built so far was a pain.

The ground printed darker than I wanted (it was one of the first things I printed), but not so dark that I was going to burn two more 13x19 sheets of 100% ink coverage )
