Oh, I like this very much. I've been caught up in modern and sci fi and have been getting back into my fantasy sets this month.
I am really excited to see this and now I want to get Boston and Montreal 1755 going for TLX!
It's nice to see the balcony. I can't figure those things out for the life of me.

I left a little of the trimmed sides of the balcony floor. I inserted these tabs between the folds of the rails for support.

I added short rails between the stories.

I'd like to show off the inside, but there are a competitor's models in the house.

The house is varied in tone due to switching out a low black cartridge in mid construction. A couple of pieces are printed on paper and glued to cardstock, so the printing isn't as sharp. I accidentally left paper under the cardstock, and the printer sucked it up 1st. I wasn't about to waste the ink, so it got used "as is".

I've been working on and modifying the gatehouse from CWU. After I finish the gatehouse moat, I'll post pics and a build review.

I've been waiting for this comment. The white lines don't stand out in normal light. I don't think a dark edge would good on this model. It would not have been worth the time, effort, and risk. I do edge some things, but only if the white edge just doesn't work. I've found very little that I feel needs edged. I use Staedtler Lumocolor markers for edging.

Get a silver/grey Sharpie, that way you don't get the dark edge that a black Sharpie will give you but you'll be surprised how different the model will look without the white.

I've actually got a multi-color Sharpie pack but you don't have to go that route.

Yup, as Skunkape points out; a gray Sharpie is exactly what you're looking for. It doesn't have to completely kill the edge but tone it down a little. Its a night and day difference and so worth it.

But yeah, anytime you use a camera flash rather than reflected or ambient light, the models never look like they do in real life.
