When fighters have become Reduced or Dispersed, does their move remain the same? The rulebook seems to suggest that they can still receive the orders, but the stat cards make it look as though a Dispersed fighter squadron cannot move or attack. |

We bumped in to this in the middle of a game and after a little debate we thought that it should accurately have full move and firing range but the number to hit the mark changes as the rules say. We felt that it was fully functional fighters, but reduced in numbers. A tip off that this is wrong is the purple numbers which fighters don't have. Also if played by the card numbers, reform would give you one fully functional squadron and one that just sits there and can't move or fire. If that's the case, I'd rather have two at yellow and move them back to the carrier. |

You are correct...ranges do not reduce. The descriptives in the rulebook (yes, it need spelled out better) is that the fighters don't take "damage" per-se...damage to a squadron is represented by loss of individual fighters. Thus, the fighters that remain are considered just as combat-capible as before, but aren't as numerous, and thus not as able to dish out damage (represented by their higher die required to mark). |
