Alright, this is a battle report for the supply run Scenario from the manual. Heads up for the detail oriented people out there, the red and blue forces from the book have been swapped, but otherwise it is straight from the second scenario. Second heads up, I didn't have time to complete the wormholes themselves, so I just laid the template on the table for now.

First, the forces themselves:
The Blue Side: (played by me) Attempting to bring their Supply Ship (played by the carrier) to the other wormhole. They have 3 Missile Fighters, 2 Skirmish Fighters (one with an Ace Combat mod), and one Control Corvette. Some people have said they don't like the control corvette, but I love it. It won't do much damage by itself, but it really helped knock out the first Particle Bow I had to deal with this game.

Next up The Red Side:
These guys have two Particlebow Frigates, one with a commander, and three missile fighters. They have to cripple the supply ship before it gets to the other side, and eliminate my combat forces.

Setup:
Red team sets up their forces in ambush, while blue team decides which wormhole to come out of and which ships. Blue can deploy over the course of three turns. Red split their forces somewhat in an attempt to cover both wormholes.

TURN 1:
Red has the initiative, and issues his order to charge both of the particle bow frigates. His Missile fighter squads get full orders (sans afterburners).
Blue decides to send out the missile fighters and the Control corvette first in an attempt to do some damage against the particle bow while it is charging. Since the Corvette wasn't on the table during the special orders phase, it couldn't utilize its concentrate firepower rule, but it could get in position with the fighters screening it from the inevitable damage the enemy missile fighters would attempt to inflict.

Turn 2:
Let the fur fly! This turn the Red missile fighters moved in even closer and the particle bow frigate unleashed it's fury on the control corvette. In an incredible stroke of luck, it only delt 3 marks out of a potential 8, and I saved 1. I selected it for the 'Concentrate fire' special order, and as a result my (I'm blue) missile fighters would be marking on a 2+ this turn.
Also I gave full orders to my skirmish fighters, who came screaming out of the wormhole with the intent to pulverize the red missile fighters who came too close. Meanwhile on the other end of the table red's other particle bow started to move into a better position while rolling its charge.

Then we opened fire. The skirmish fighters brought one group of red missile fighters to their knees and Blue's missile fighters managed several marks against the particle bow. The Corvette was pushed down into yellow status (sorry no data cubes yet), and then during the autofire phase, destroyed the crippled missile fighter stand and put the particle bow down to yellow as well (he split his 2 shots and hit with both).

The blast has been added for visual benefit where the missile fighter used to be:

Turn Three:
Out comes the Supply ship! Some tight maneuvering of furball happening around the damaged particle bow occurs, and one Red missile fighter breaks off to start peppering the Carrier. Meanwhile the Red Particlebow ship decides to gamble on charging its cannon in order to really blast the supply ship in the next turn. This is what movement looks like:

As for shooting, the Supply Carirer takes some minor damage that will be fixed when the repair phase hits, while the blue fighters still are slamming the wounded frigate with missiles. Success!, the frigate goes down to red, and will loose its charge before it can fire it! Meanwhile the Blue skirmish fighters continue to harry the remaining missile squad into the ground. Things are looking good for Blue, assuming the carrier survives the Particle bow superblast from the untouched ship on the other end of the table.

Turn 4 Movement:
In this turn, Blue decides that the injured particlebow isn't worth finishing off while the supply ship needs escort, so both missile fighters to the south hit their afterburners and zoom out of firing range to start dealing with the fresher ship. Luckily the carrier survives the blast from the Frigate with Yellow damage, so it can repair on a 2+. The control Corvette activates it's scramble countermeasures to mitigate damage while it changes targets, and also zooms off to deal with the unhurt frigate, while the skirmish fighters both activate their Berserker rolls and surprise the missile fighters by flying behind them.

Turn 4 Shooting:
The skirmish fighters do not dissapoint and eliminate both sets of remaining missile fighters. This leaves Red with one crippled ship and one ship that is about to be out of position, and tailed by a swarm of deadly fighters under the direction of the Control Corvette.

Seeing the wisdom in surrender, Red decides that Blue has taken the day.

Once again, let me just say how much I enjoy this game. Simple to teach, and deeper that it first seems. I cannot wait to amp up to some of the other scenarios. I hope you enjoyed the battle report, and if you haven't picked up the game yet i suggest you do. All the parts used in this game were built up by one guy (only been in the hobby for a few weeks now) in a weekend, so the build time is great for a miniatures game, and with two people building you could have it done in a day.

I'm already looking forward to the first expansion.

Very nice. We have similar games when we rush each other's particle bows, so it ends up being the defensive huddle and colossal battle in the center of the table. I love it when a plan not only works, but works better than intended.
