I think it would be better to have the characters printed on a white background rather than a black one. I like exacto-ing them down to their profiles anyhow and would rather not waste the black ink that would be used in printing a black background.

Somewhere buried in the forum we discussed this very issue. Basically it was agreed that future paper miniatures would be released with background options (printed on black, grey and white backgrounds).
