I like the cards in the Dice Arena, but they have a rather small text field, and aren't really easily customizable. Unfortunately, this makes them less than optimal for the gaming uses I have in mind. I'd love to see a card builder, with different backgrounds, layout styles, textures and so on. This would work well as a layered pdf, where you can switch on and off a number of options, various icons and symbols, and, well, various layers. ![]() I have a link to a similiar product which uses Photoshop files, however. I'm not certain it's OK with the rules to post that link to illustrate what I'm talking about; if it is, tell me and I'll put it in. |

I've taken a look at the MSE right now, hadn't heard of it before. It seems to be mainly a program for M:tG, right? I guess a toned-down version of this would be what I had in mind, but with a more generic approach. I'm not interested in M:tG (sold my cards about 15 years ago, vastly underpriced), I'm rather looking to use cards with a number of games (RPGs, wargames, what have you). Frex, I own (cool game btw), which comes with a Photoshop-editable template, but it's so much work to substantially redesign everything I could just as well start from scratch. I'd like a somewhat flexible, game-agnostic, editable and customizable card set. I'd prefer not a program, but something easy-to-use like a layered pdf. A program is more work to implement for WWG, a Photoshop file is more work for me to deal with. |

Sigh. Yesterday I had convinced myself to buy that nice template from the blog you mentioned, but I can't seem to find it anymore... ![]() |
