I wonder if you could make the straps out of cardstock, and have them actually go over the mini on the table, and attach somehow on the other side? They don't have to be tight, or anything. Just the straps actually being around the mini itself would lend well to the immersion. So how to do the straps so you can fasten/unfasten them often, and quickly? Maybe the straps could be sandwich folded, except for a single-ply tab at the far end. The strap would be curved to hold a semicircle. The tab would be scored and folded at a 90 degree angle, back towards the table, and you could make a slit in that side of the table for the tab to go into. Just a slit, with no space removed, should give enough grip to hold the straps in place. --------- I was also thinking about doing a distillery with transparencies, to make the bottles and tubes look cooler. I bet that'd look pretty cool with the mad scientist theme graphics, too. |

Fun! You could even do tesla coils with electrical bolts on transparencies. And you could raise the Gurney to the top of the tower on the chains from the gate house transparencies. Oh and giant vats with floating experiments in them like on Aliens ^_^ |
