I have a silly question. I like what I see and am 99% sure I am going to buy this, the question is now or in about a week really. I have a question about printing though. I realize that the optimum print is in color for these but, I would assume (yes I know what assuming does!) it would use a lot of colored ink and that ain't cheap. How would these look printed in plain old black and white for just utility purposes? Anyone know or have any ideas on that? |

Printing the whole DungeonWorks set with multiple corridor sections and other reprints in full color used about one quarter of my ink cartridge. Which really isn’t that bad considering your set will be with you as long as any board game. I'm using an Epson 777. I have test printed the floor sections and corridor pieces in black and white and they still look great. The only items that are negatively affected by B&W printing are the richly colored prop pieces. Hope that helps. I would love to hear from everyone in regards to what printer type they are using and how much ink they are going through on average to print a WorldWorks set. |

I printed about 4 of each corridor and wall, plus 2 coners and t-sections, and about 1 of everything else. it took about 3/4 to 7/8th of a brand new color carttrage, and less then half of a black. Not that i'm complaining i got the new ink for just this reason. Probly 20+ sheets but some of them where printed on a higher then need Picture qulity. Epson Photo 820 on 110lb card stock |

Cannon S400SP... Excellent Paper modeling printer... Cheap ink (probably the cheapest). Pretty fast and quiet. Unit not that expensive able to print on 170 GSM paper and I think can go higher!! (it was too hard to fold). I also found out that most thicker paper are poor absorbers of ink (smudging more). SO!. I print on a generic brand Hi-Res paper (90GSM). |
