Completely understand with forgetting/energy issues. Perhaps, though, while getting up and walking around the table you could take some in-game shots. That would be ideal, I think, over just canned pics after the game.
As far as the digital camera goes, I know it's tough to find interesting scenery in Nebraska so no question about it not being used
(I lived the last 10 years in Nebraska, so just kidding) If you use it for anything, take a pic of a NE sunset for me, cuz we've got nothing to compare it to out here in St. Louis.
