Post subject: | Smaller Scale Models |
This has been discussed in the Sci-Fi section before, but with the announcement of Savage Dinas Ffordd it gains new importance. Savage worlds uses a slightly smaller scale than standard 25mm figs. In the Combat Rules, 1 inch equals 2 yards (1/72). While simple down-scaling will probably work for many of the buildings, the same is not true for most small pieces of accessory and/or ornamentation. To top this off, I'm working on a Savage conversion for GTA (an idea that was also mentioned before). For big vehicular action scenes I'd like to down-scale even further to 1/180 (1cm = 2 yards). Again, I'm confidant this could be done with the streets and buildings, but not with the vehicles. |

To be honest, in our Savage Worlds games, I just use 1" = 5' and call it a day. ![]() You should look at Highland Piper's various Mechwarrior stuff. He's done a fantastic job reducing things down to its scale. Here are some examples: http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=2146 http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=3417 |

I read that thread, and yes those pics did look good. Still, that won't work for everything. And I'm most interested in the vehicles. |
