I was just thinking. Pringles are just about all over the place. It would be cool if someone could come up with a "skin" we could print out and wrap around them to make all kinds of things: Stone pillars Tree Trunks Tech pillars water tanks etc. etc. Just a thought. |

It's not that hard to do if you have some artistic ability. The bigger issue is one of scale. Since 95% of the stuff out there is created for 28mm models, the size of a pringles can is enormous in scale. A typical pringles can is 78.74mm wide, and 233.68 meters wide. I'll say the standard 28mm figure represents someone 6 ft high. That gives us a cylinder that is roughly 16 feet wide, and 50 feet tall. That might make a nice wizards tower, spire, or leaning tower of Piza, but unless you have a truly massive building, it would be off as a column, and I can't picture any tree it would represent well unless it was a Giant Sequoia. |

They make spray paint now that sprays on a marble / stone like pattern and texture. I bet a base coat of flat black and a coat of this marble spray paint would end up with some nice looking, epic sized, pillars and columns! I've seen it used to make fake tomb stones for Holloween; it looks good! |
