We have a longer curve plan for customization. There's a number of issues we have with PDF layering and the software involved as it relates to production (and or how much that would slow us down). Our products are bigger than the average and our layering structure is equally complex. Boiling down 100's of layers into groupings that make sense for customization and then the formatting involved to get it there puts us in an awkward position in terms of resources. Without saying too much, there are other ways to handle it which, from a production standpoint, won't slow designers down to a crawl. But implementation is going to take time. |

Fair enough, I'd be interested in seeing how you handle it. And take your time, my fingers are cramping as it is. |
