Just got my Silhouette SD cutter over late last week. Love it! The new MAC software is pretty nice(well very sparse but easy to use). Everything is apparently rolled into one software piece now. Nice! I am seeing a predictable shift in the cutter as it scrolls to the far end of the paper for its cuts. I ran the calibration tool (which looks to be quite a bit different from the older PC version? At least the Thread that Mel wrote on the Calibration is not applicable to this). And it prints a Calibration Test sheet. In which you load in the carrier sheet and run the cutter. Which makes cut marks both horizontally and vertically. In which you take and measure and plug those numbers in a slider slider window that accounts for the difference. Essentially its 200mm across, 200mm length. But mine is 200.6mm length. So I make that adjustment but it makes no discernible difference. Here is the calibration control panel as it appears on the right. And here is the sheet you use for calibration. Note I have seen it do nothing with the Cross hair sections at all. The only thing it will do is put the Cut marks for measurement. And if you hit the Calibration button it moves up an down (maybe and inch) and side to side almost the width of the sheet.(I think those Crosshairs and Calibration button are what's needed to fix it. I wish there were some help or instructions or step by step. I cannot find anything. Nothing in the manual nor online help. Anyone have any ideas? I've blown through 50 sheets of paper and my carrier sheet is no longer sticky... lol... and still the cuts off predictably. Thanks in advance, Floyd |
