OK slowed it down, but it didn't help. I put the speed down to 6 like you had yours set to.
But it did make the crunk sound and cut off after it. It's going to suck if I have to put new parts in it.

I'll have to double check that it isn't. But last time I printed out a sheet I made sure to check none on the print scaling. |

Just turning off print scaling isn't good enough. Print out a 6x6 floor, get your ruler, and check that it's actually 6 inches by 6 inches. Some models of printer will scale images, even with scaling turned to none. You need to physically check your prints. |

OK I'll check and see if it's printing right. If it's not printing right how do I fix it so that it does? Is there some setting I can uses to make it print right? I'm using a HP Photosmart printer C5100 model. |

Perhaps your page is slipping in the Silhouette. Maybe you need more tack on your carrier sheet? |

Quick question, something in the first post you wrote makes me wonder something... "The carrier sheet that came with it is in bad shape "Is this a used machine? If it is a used machine there may be another issue here. Do ANY of the cuts come out right ie on the mark for the location, or are all of them off. I noticed for a while that it wouldf start fine, but part way through it would get off the mark, if yours is that case I may have part of the answer |

Hoping right now I didn't get a busted one. I checked the 6" floor tile. made sure to measure it both ways and it checked out ok. I double checked a few other just to be sure, and they were spot on as well. |

It will do the calibration cut just fine, but the cutting I need it to do. It just does not want to cut right. |

Used machine? Hmm...what are your speed settings? Watch the cuts as they are taking place, does it cut okay up to a point, then make a little crunk noise and cut just off to the side a bit? Mine does that when I'm cutting at top speed on some projects. I've cut hundreds of pages with the machine quite successfully but I'm afraid mine might already be getting long in the tooth as that little drive belt does wear out. My solution to continue having consistently good cuts was to reduce the speed of my cuts from 10 to 6. Good luck. |
