I have had an issue with the cuts not aligning with the artwork properly which has kept me from being fully enthused about papercrafting. After experimenting with self-made carrier sheets and making absolutely sure the printer prints correctly, I finally found the problem. For whatever reason, it appears that the registration marks on the PDF are not quite aligned with the registration marks in the GSD. This could be an issue with my cutter, Silhouette Studio (2.5.8), or just the specific products I have (Mayhem props, Roll arena). I was able to get the cuts to be absolutely perfect to the naked eye by exporting the PDF pages to PNG, erasing the registration marks, merging the GSD and the PNG in Silhouette Studio, aligning them manually and then letting Silhouette print its own registration marks. It is a little bit of added work to do all that, but I am very happy with the results, the cuts are spot on. As a side note, the printer I have is Canon Pro9000 Mk II, and I can attest that it prints extremely accurately in all directions. I made a test with a 13" by 19" paper and could not find any errors with a ruler. |

Did you remember to turn Scaling to Off when printing? |

Yes, I made absolutely sure that the print was not the issue by measuring the print and comparing it to the image's measurements. |

Did you make sure the paper size you used is letter? and not A4?? happened to me on my first try |

Yup, US letter. Looks like it may just be the products, or the GSD format. I bought the Friar inn props that come with studio files and they align significantly better. Still not quite as perfect, but close enough that it doesn't affect the assembled model. |
