Let me introduce myself. I am Highland Piper as many of you know. I am also the GSD Saint which means I am responsible for creating and updating the GSD files for World Works Games.

I am using a Craft ROBO CC-200. Now as many of you know that some newer GSD files will not open in the older ROBO Master software.

I want to let you know that if you download ROBO Master V. 5.1 from Graphtec America during the installation of v. 5.1 you will be asked which model you are using. Please don't just rapidly click Next (as I embarrassingly did :oops: ). Also this works on European (A4) models (as I have myself)



Select your model and you will be upgraded to 5.1 and you will be able to use all versions of ROBO Master up to 5.1.

The Silhouette-1 cannot open the GSDs in the RoboMaster program (at all), but will open the GSDs in the Studio Program (without recognizeing the registration marks).

I've tried manipulating the registration mark settings, thickness and distances - even downloaded multiple programs to try to fix - all with no luck.

Any Ideas? Because I'm out.

And I can't save any PDFs as a jpeg file, or this would be soooo much easier. Pirating is a B***h, ain't it?

You can save PDFs as jpegs (for free, even). One way to do it is with the image editor GIMP (which is approximately like Photoshop). You'll also need to install Ghostscript to get GIMP to open PDFs.

I'm not sure how pirating fits in?

I guess it helps to read more than one post when trying to figure out a problem.

I had the scaling set to "fit to page".

I am running a Silhouette-1 with the latest (5.x version) software.

Calibrated the machine to X:0 Y:0 and cut ....

It's PERFECT.

I am glad you found your fix but also do not understand the pirating comment.

Spoo (and Talae), my "Pirating" comment was the fact that printing directly to jpeg from PDF makes it very easy to steal the textures to use somewhere else, and I can see why it is disallowed.

Silhouette Studio will open the GSD's AND properly read the registration marks.

Piper - Haven't tried Studio since I figured out the scaling porblem, but will give it a shot later.

From now on all cut files will be using Silhouette Studio. It will open the older GSD files.

The reason for the switch is for one of accuracy and ease of use.

Just used the new Silhouette studio program to cut the Literary error files and I gotta say, I love the new program. The gui is alot nicer and more user friendly and I didn't have any problem whatsoever finding the registration marks. SCORE!

I really wish there was a way to change the perforation mark settings. that is the one problem I have with the new software right now.

email the company and request it. Seriously they can't and won't change or add anything unless they know what you want.
