ADHD? Hate Reading? Ready to throw your robot through the window? Just do this process. It works. Ask questions in the thread or read the many other fine threads in this sub forum. Silhouette SD Process 1. Throw out the carrier sheet that came with your cutter. 2. Go get some spray mount glue with low water content. 3. Spray 2-3 pieces of card stock from about a foot away so that it just 'dusts' the papers. These are your carrier sheets. 4. Print out 4 (or more) pages of WWG templates you want to make. Remember, No scaling, respect the default settings! 5. Open up the ROBO Master for QuicKutz Application. 6. Within the app, open the appropriate "GSD" file of the template you want to cut. 7. Take your printed template, and GENTLY attach it to one of the cardstock pieces you sprayed glue on. It does not have to be PERFECT, but get it close and you don't need to press it down. Just make sure it's flat with no obvious waves or slippage. 8. You put the BOTTOM of the page in FIRST. (The header information should be toward you as you load it into the machine. This seems 'upside down' but it's right) 8. Center the 2 pieces of paper (template and carrier) between the little white rollers. Use the arrow keys ON THE CUTTER to make the LCD display say "LOAD MEDIA" (NOT load w/ carrier!) 9. Hit the enter button ON THE CUTTER (your paper will load) 10. WAIT YOU ARE NOT DONE! 11. Using the SHIFT ARROW key ON THE CUTTER, you'll have to scroll the cutter down so that the blade is inside the upper right hand bracket. (WAIT STOP! READ THIS AGAIN!) 12. On the CraftRobo Software, click on the 'Cut Icon' (looksl ike a blade cutting paper!) 13. Check 'OFF' Sear for Registration Marks. Click on "registration Mark Reading". 14. It will tell you to make sure the cutter is in the bracket area (where you already put it, hopefully). 15. Click OK. It SHOULD scan the page a few times and then put you back on the screen. If so, you're golden. Get ready to cut... BUT 15b. If it gives you an error, try reloading the page and repositioning the cutter (which is the yellow bit with the knife, not the black plastic square) so that if it dropped down and made a hole, it would be inside the two little bracket lines. 16. Click "CUT" 17. You'll get a dialog saying ok to cut, click OK. 18. Have a beer while your robo slave cuts. Revel in your superiority over THE MACHINES! 18b. For speed, load up the next sheet on the other carrier sheet(s) (step 7) 19. When done, unload the media, peel off the carrier sheet. 20. Remove the cut pieces from the cut sheet. Take the next sheet and go to step 8 if you have it ready. ---------------------------------------------- Notes: The auto scan option seems buggy. Doing the 'manual' scan for reg marks seems to eliminate the problem (for me). The few extra seconds it takes to do this, is worth the lower blood pressure, time and cussing the other option was costing me. Also, Editors welcome. Hack away at this. When I have a chance I'll redo this as a nice PDF with pictures... but it's late, I've been robowrestling and right now I just want to cut some darn paper and make streets.
