This has been copied and pasted from my site's Machine Cutting FAQ. What are machine-cuttable models? Models specified as machine-cuttable are formatted to be cut by digital craft cutters like the Graphtec Craft ROBO or the Quickutz Silhouette. Instead of cutting the models out by hand with a hobby knife and a ruler, you feed the prints into the digital craft cutter and let it do the cutting and scoring for you. A 1 page quickstart guide is included with machine-cuttable models. Can these models still be cut by hand? Yes. The only thing different about machine-cuttable models is that some extra files are included, which store cutting path data for the machine, and the PDF is formatted for the cutter's optical eye. These differences do not affect your ability to cut or score the models by hand. Are all of your models machine-cuttable? No, only the ones that specifically state that they are machine-cuttable in their description. When in doubt, assume the model is not machine-cuttable. What cutters are supported? The machines listed below are known to work perfectly with our models. * * * The machines listed below are known to work with our models, but may need some troubleshooting. * Quickutz Silhouette-1 (No longer sold, ROBO Master version 4.4 required) What cutters are NOT supported? The machines listed below are not supported, due to software or hardware incompatibilities. * (all versions) * (all versions) * What if my machine isn't listed? Assume that it's not supported. As a general rule of thumb, if it has an optical eye and ROBO Master is used to control it, then it probably can be made to work with our models. However, if it uses a different controller software or it lacks an optical eye, chances are it will simply not work at all. -Mel |

Hello. Can't find the Silhouette SD cutter for purchase. They have a new version out called Silhouette Cameo. Is that compatible? Thanks, Sandy |

Currently, I have only seen the SD for sale at places like eBay. As for compatibility, as far as I understand it, it is still something that requires the user to fiddle with each file in the software. It is a software issue though, so it should hopefully be taken care of with a patch from the company eventually. |

Are there any plans to support other cutters? The two that are supported are expensive and hard to come by in some cases. |
