I could never get it to automatically see the registration marks, so I had to manually position the optical sensor above the right hand mark. (It took me a stupidly long time to figure out how to move the sensor, I kept hitting the opposite arrow of what I ultimately wanted it to do) It sounds like you tried to do that, but the first couple of times I did it, I was off in where I thought the optical sensor is, so perhaps try several different trials of positioning the cutting head over the registration mark, changing its position 0.5 cm each time. |

I don't even use my cutter because it so hard to get it to find the registration marks. Its 10 minutes of manually adjusting it at best to get it to find the registration marks. Some times I can never get it to find them at all. |

@LD2062 & @Pershadow Thanks for your replies. I have tried to line things up manually in many different locations. The Silhouette Support people said that my registration marks looked "way too small" for the cutter to recognize. I find that a little hard to believe considering many other people have great success. Considering I spent a long time on the phone w/ their tech support and was unable to get it to cut anything directly from their software (non-WWG stuff), I was able to convince them that I needed a new unit. They're sending me the new one now. I'm going to keep trying until the new one shows though. Greg Miller SpectralElegy |
