Post subject: | Silhouette SD problems |
I bought a silhouette sd to cut photo paper 240 grams (approximately 110 lbs.) I tried to use carrie sheet, bu the one with glue damaged the paper. The other one (without glue) is very difficult to fit together with the paper machine. When I try this, the sheet is bent and lost the register. Now, as much as I increase strength and reduce the speed, it does not totally cut the paper, only some parts. I have also noticed that the teflon is getting scratched. Now she began to catch on parts of the court and when resuming, lose record. I ended up being quite disappointed with it and not know what else to do. All this happened within a month. Anyone knows if this machine cuts this weight on a photo paper? Has anyone done this test? Is that right would be to return this machine and buy a more robust like the craft robo pro or similar? Any suggestion? Thanks. |

240 gsm is way too thick for the Silhouette. I would never go higher than 224, and even that can have problems if you don't have a sharp balde and the proper settings. Personally I would do 200 gsm for floors and most props and 224 gsm for walls, posts and anchors. |
