Someone said "mountain out of a mole hill" and I gotta be honest guys, that's a pretty apt description on this one.
There's a couple things at play here; one is build experience. As you build more tiles, your fit and precision will increase. You'll look back at your first batch of tiles and wonder what you were smoking
The second thing is simply trusting in a stock, unmodified, build using 3/16" foamcore. I'm telling you, just go with things as they are described in the instructions and you wont have problems. I specifically designed the system to work with 3/16" AND 1/4" thick foamcore and it does work as advertised.
Apologies if the above seems too adamant or redundant but its important that folks realize that no modifications are necessary in this case. In fact, modifications will likely cause issues rather than preventing them
