I just bought my first set of Terrainlinx since I figured the Hinterland Forests would work good for games of Warmahordes and maybe some Malifaux bayou action. I've looked around the forums and seen people talking about several different printing mediums. My question is what would be fairly durable, but capable of going through a normal laser printer and not leaving a gaping hole in my bank account? |

I would go with the standard suggestion of: 8-1/2 by 11 inch 110lb weight cardstock or 80lb coverstock. (Whichever you can find cheapest at your local office supply store.) At least in the US it runs about $10-$15 for 250 sheets, and that will put together a pretty good size build. Go with White paper (colored stock makes the printing look funny) and only change from that if you don't like something about how this is working.... |

ScrubKai pretty much nailed it. My 110 cardstock builds do just fine for Warmahorde and 40k. |

Yep, good advice about the kind of media to use. The colored stuff does make the print out look funny. 110lb weight cardstock is 199gsm, 80lb cover is 218 gsm, sometimes you will see reference to 65lb cover which is 176gsm in case you need that info. |

You will also need 3/16" (5mm) foamcore or equivalent. This doesn't get printed on directly, but is used to provide strength and rigidity for the ground tiles. |

Looks like everyone has things mostly covered here. I would also add that I like to print TLX templates onto full-sheet label paper. On a side note, I am also contemplating trying out matte and semi-gloss photopaper with my new printer when it arrives. |

@Talae: Want to see photos of a build with that stuff to check out the photo quality aspects. |
