I have been running with WWG TLX scenery for a little under a year now. I am running Pathfinder's Serpent Skull AP. Last October I ran some crossover scenarios using the Serpent Temple from SS1 - Souls for Smuggler's Shiv, and built scenery enough that I could lay out the two big combats I had planned for that Scenario. They loved it. Since then, I have been slowly building more terrain, mostly from Himmelvale Streets, as the texture works for me in my 'lost city' campaign. (I just wish it had some hanging vines that I could layer over top!)
The past two sessions, deep in an ancient ruin in the jungle, I have had the players comment on the scenery and how it really helps them visualize things. Now, as of right now, I have a 2'x3' battleboard covered with just standard anchored flooring, 5 anchored 6"x6" floors, 6 3"x6" anchored floors, a good supply of posts and walls, Some railings and stairs.
I am about 80% complete with a small Feisty Friar building, which doesn't fit in the ruined city, but I brouight it anyway, for extra terrain.
They loved it. Two of them asked if they could help make stuff (to which I said, OF COURSE). I am going to print out a bunch of floors, posts and walls, and have a terrain building party. I can always use more stuff, and they want to help me build it!
