Hi I have a Roland vinyl cutter that I can control through Adobe Illustrator. My question is, is it possible to get the cut files in .ai format? I can convert them myself by printing to PDf then opening in Illustrator but I just wondered if they already exist? Thanks Craig |

No one? I have downloaded the free hill top build available here and made it, great fun. I want to get into the TLX stuff with my cutter but am holding off as it will be a lot of work to convert then to the cut software I have. I have download the Robocutter software and the cut files that are available here on the site to have a play so I know what is involved. I would have thought this was an easy question to answer by one of the design team. Please help a newbe. |

Hi Craig, Welcome! I am not a designer, but I have been around awhile and I have almost all the WWG stuff, so my unofficial answer is that there are no .ai files out there on the customer side. Whether the designers have them is another question altogether, although I would say probably not since I believe they have to be created in the Robocutter software. |

.ai files aren't used in cutfile creation. joydyhee has it right in saying they are created in specific software. |

Thanks guys. It was worth an ask. Looks like I will have to do it the hard way. |

It never hurts to ask...well, not usually. |
