Hello All, Recently purchased Mayhem Under Construction as my starting cardstock project. It's a tad overwhelming, but as many posts suggest, I'm going to start small. I have a quick question regarding Mayhem Under Construction. On the Details page, the second picture (ground level) has the building connected to the gridded pavement on the bottom, where the green portable toilet is. Is that gridded pavement in the Under Construction set or is it part of the Streets of Legend set? All the floors in my set seem to be for the interior of the building. Thanks! |

Always glad to have new people showing up. Welcome to the fold. The tiles you mention are from Streets and that image is intended to showcase how the set would interact with a city build as a whole. I hope to see pictures of your build and please feel free to ask any further questions. |

Welcome aboard! The TLX sets are designed to work with all the other TLX files...you could even use the Streets of Himmelveil with Mayhem Under Construction! Have fun, and post pics of your builds! |

Thanks for the reply guys! Just another quick question. I'm hoping to get a 3' x 3' board within the next 2 weeks for an ATZ session. However, manually cutting the templates is sloooooow work, so far I've managed to do 2 6"x6" sections and that's taken me a while. And I haven't even started on the pylons or walls. Short of investing in automated equipment, do you guys have hints/tips for maximizing productivity? Thanks again! |

Thanks for the advice, I might try assembly line style. Currently my equipment I use: 1) Cutting mat 2) small retractable cutting knife for cardstock with snap-off blades 3) Larger Stanley style knife for cutting foamboard I'm finding in general everything takes a while, but that may also be because of my methodology. I usually print the template, cut and stick the template to the foam, print the tile and cut/score the tile whilst glue is drying. Then I cut the foam, cut the notches, then stick tile to foam. |

Personally I pre-cut the foam board into 6x6 3x6 3x3 sizes then cut the slots with a bandsaw. Final cut a retractable blade then I glue my flooring onto the foam board. Production line style. i have made up Plywood templates for cutting on the band saw. You will soon get into a style of fixing shortly. by the way Welcome to the madness...he he he

Going to have to back Matt up on this one. The two best purchases I did for papercraft, by far, was the steel engineering ruler and the bone crafting-scorer. With the ruler, not only does the weight and shape make the cutting and scoring that much better, but the cuts are cleaner and not nearly as likely to 'jump' or worse, cut into the ruler itself. Any office supply store should have the rule. The scoring bone I had to order online. |

Here is a source for Avery 8465 full sheet labels from an internet company based in the USA . Cost is $27.89 USD for a box of 100. Check for shipping outside of the USA or if the merchant has shipping outlets outside of the USA if that is what is needed. I have always received supplies within 2 days of ordering. |

I have a couple different forms of spray adhesive that I've used to mount draft-printed TLX templates on plain paper onto the foamcore. So far, it's worked well, but I do much prefer the sticker paper. It's just, sometimes I find myself without sticker paper...
